Durante los meses de marzo y abril de 1976, se realizó el estudio de las bacterias marinas en el mar ecuatoriano, las cuales sobrepasan densidades de 10 Bact./ml en el área océanica. Al mismo tiempo frente a las costas del Ecuador disminuyen estos valores entre 500 y 2.500 Bact./ml., excepto en el área del Golfo de Guayaquil, donde se encontró bacterias de origen continental en un gran parche de 106 bact./ml. de acuerdo al diagnóstico bioquímico diferencial, se trata de Bacilos Grammegativos semejantes a pseudomonas sp. y Alcalígenas sp. en la zona océanica y Micrococcus sp. frente al Golfo de Guayaquil. Se relacionan las bacterias halofílicas con la temperatura, oxígeno y salinidad superficial. |

Cette étude s’est intéressée à déterminer l’effet du Benzo [a]pyrène, un contaminant organique de la famille des HAP, sur la communauté bactérienne planctonique, au niveau de la lagune (zone faiblement polluée par le B[a]py) et le canal (zone très polluée par le B[a]py) de Bizerte en été et automne 2009. Des communautés bactériennes, collectées des deux stations, ont été maintenues en culture pendant 6 jours sous trois différents traitements, un témoin (non contaminé) et deux contaminations avec 0,5 mg l-1 (B[a]py1) et 1 mg l-1 (B[a]py2) du B[a]py. The El Rincón area in the Argentine continental shelf (coastal sector between 39º S-41º S) is known as one of the main breeding areas of the Argentine anchovy (Engraulis anchoita) Northern stock. However, there is scarce information regarding the structure of the primary producers, base of the pelagic food webs. The aim of this study was to identify the different phytoplanktonic communities in a coastal section in the area (depth lower than 60 m) during February 2011. Phytoplankton response to environmental pollution by oil and emulsifiers has been studied. The nanoplanktonic flagellate <i>Platymonas tetrathele</i> has been assayed with increasing concentrations of crude oil, industrial non-ionic emulsifiers and mixtures of these products. Cultures poisoned with an emulsifier with an aromatic solvent exhibited a very long lag phase. Diminished growth rates were observed for all the products tested most of the time at concentrations above 50 ppm. The mixtures showed a toxicity close to that of the emulsifier component at its concentration in the mixture and lower than that of the crude oil alone.
